I insert ithe words: "The game shall be'played in' four spell:; of 20 minutes each, with an interval after the second spell." -, In Notes to "A Tackle," delete sentence beginning "Neither would a player," etc., down to "side," ■ and amend sentence beginning "If a :player, carrying the ball," etc./' to read, "If a ,player parrying the ball be brought to the ground and the ball touches the ground, he may nevertheless get up. with it and continue his run, or_pass it, provided it be done immediately." Delete last two notes to tackle-(vide "Referees' Handbook," pp. 13, 14).
.In Notes' to. "A Scniinmage," delete first and fourth notes, and insert: -."In every case when the Referee"-, orders a scrummage, -he shall.himself put the ball into tho said scrummage." (Vide "Referees' Handbook," p. 14.) : In Section (f), Law 3,. delete the • word 'Hialf-time'' whenever it occurs therein, and substitute in lieu thereof the words "quar-ter-time," "half-time.'' "three : quarter time.'' Delote Section B, Law 5, referring to the Mckroffj' and'insert,; "After quarter-time and threferquarter time by the opposite sido to that. ; which .'started : the game and after- halftime by the side which started 1 the game." ■ Delete Section 0 and note in Law 6 referring to handling the ball. . Delete also first and third notes. (Vide "Referees' Handbook," pp. 29, 30.) Re Law 10, delete all 'words in third clause of Law 10 and insert: "In all cases of-free-kicks or kick at goal, the opposite sido shall not charge such Icick." Also delete all notos.except 5,10,11, and 12, following such clause,; (Vide "Referees! Handbook." pp. 29, 30.)
Delete Section Kof Law 11, also the 'notes except, the. first, which' transfers to notes under "Scrummago." Law 12.—As to ball in touch, delete section (A), Law 12;, and. substitute: "(A). Throwing it out so as. to alight, at right angles to and at least five yards' from- the touch-line, or".
