". At last -night's: meeting of the .Karori Borough Council, there were present: The Mayor (Mr., C. I. Dasent), and Councillors Lissipgton, Wedde, Raine, Spiers, Bradnock/ Cathie, Hammondj.and Smith.. On the recommendation' of the engineer, an expenditure of ,£7 was 'authorised .' for strengthening the fences 'on the recreation reserve.
In .reference to prosecutions of owners, of wandering cattle, the town clerk (Mr. -W. Fi, England) said that his way wonld be* much easier if he could- get more, substantial -fines inflicted on persons who were old offenders in this respect. , , - . (
