Tho Huntly, miners and the directors of the company had separate conferences with tho Minister for Mines to-day, but wero bound to secrecy by tho-Minister, and the results have , not been divulged. _ -Mr. Manning, the nnion sooretary, on being interviewed, said tho men were as determined as over. Referring' to Mr. Alison's statement that the company would bo loyal to men who woro loyal to them, he said unionists would bo just as loyal to their rules, aud'would'refuse to go back until the four -alleged "blacklegs" were removed. Tho Taupiri directors, after an interview with tho Minister, decided absolutely to submit to no tribunal other than that tho law ' provides for. The women are oven more bitter than tho men in this respect. One member of e. group on ' Saturday',' seeing a reporter pass by, said: "Hello 1 another reporter.
