A mishap occurred at the launching of the Osterley, one of the new Orient 12,000 ton liners, built at Govan on the Clyde, under the ; Australian mail contract. ■-. .•. .
Lady Jersoy was performing the launching ceremony,'and'after, she had released the new craft, it.stopped at a point forty:feet down theiways, owing to the grease haying been affected by frost.
The Osterley "was then securely fastened, and the launching was,postponed.', \ ,;
