Mr.; M'Mahon, manager of the "Wallabies" (Australian amateur footballers), speaking at' Portsmouth, suggested', that in future years the union visited should, bear , all the expenses of a visiting team, thus avoiding objectionable little incidents such as was recently raised by the Scottish Rugby Union about the payment of daily allowances to members of the "Wallabies" and New Zealand All Black teams. , . .[The Scottish Union cancelled its annual fixture with England because the English Union sanctioned these payments.
