A train arrived early , ths morning with a hundred additional police. There was no demonstration.. .' • ■ At a meeting of Proprietary directors, the question of submitting the dispute to. tho Arbitration Court ■ was'disoussed. .- It was subsequently announced that a communication had been sent '.to the president of the Court) but the nature of its. contents was not : disclosed. ■ Tho directors also, decided to offer a reward of £500 for information leading to the conviction of tho persons who attacked members of tho mining staff , and the local office.
