Up to the end'of the fourth round' four skips had gone through without "a loss — Brown , (Wellington), Roberts (Nowtown), Prince '(Newtown), and Sievwright (Wellington). Saturday's play straightened matters up a bit. Brown and, Roberts, being in the samo section, had to meet in the, sixtn.round, when tho Newtown skip ran right away from' Brown, and to everybody's surprise won, 25—9. Brown did not play up to Friday's form, but Roberts was right on the job. The' latter was'the 'only skip to go right through without a loss.' On' Saturday it was inadvertently stated that Alexander had beaten Roberts. Tho reverse was the case. Mr. T. L. Churchward, who has made such an admirablo secretary of the centre and 'manager of tho tournament, will umpiro in the final games., _ -
