The Chairman stated that tlio directors had-'"written off about £4000 for extra lire loss beyond the amount recovered from insurances,companies, for rent and lixturing temporary premises after -the Cliristchurch fire, and...started the year with a clean sheet. He referred to the very satisfactory advance in the business in Dunodin and Wellington, and to the support given by shareholders- amOriends •in Cliristchurch.
