PUBLIC NOTICES MAKARA C&UNTY COUNCIL. ELECTION NOTICE. PURSUANT to the provisions of "Tho Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908," and tho amendments thereof, I hereby give notice that an Election to fill the offices .of Councillors for the several Hiding's of tho County of Makara will take place, oilWEDNESDAY, the lltli day of NOVEMBER, 1908, in every case in which a Poll is required; and I hereby appoint tho Makara County Office, Makara, as • the place, and before 12. o'clock noon of THURSDAY, tho sth (lay of NOVEMBER, 1908, as the time, for receiving tho Nominations of Candidates to such offices.. ' Tho number of offices to be filled is a,s. follows—that is to say, for tho Makara Riding, two (2) j and for the Porirua Riding, four (4). Nominations of candidates for each Riding are to be in tho form prescribed by the second schedule (2) of tho aforesaid Act, and shall be delivered to the Returning Officer or addressed to him and delivered at the abovenamed office before 12 o'clock noon of THURSDAY, the sth day of NOyEMBER, 1908.
