Under the management of. Mr. J. S. Webb a very successful concert in aid of the Paliiatua Cricket Club's funds was hold in the Olympic Theatre on Wednesday evening. The Bush Rugby Union hold its annual ball in the Konini Public Hall on Wednesday night, and although the weather was inclement it was well attended) and a most enjoyable evening was spent. During the evening Mr. D. Kelly presented the banner to the Konini team, at the same time congratulating them on their meritorious win. Mr. L. Ogden, Miss Bisset, and Mrs. Hunt acted as pianists, while Mrs. P. Quirk arid Jliss Haniian each contributed songs. Mr. R. J. Smith proved a most efficient M.C.
