A GOOD CLIP.

The prevalent opinion is that the wool from the Romney sheep yields a light clip, although- it realises a high • prico in tho London market. We have received particulars of Mr. W. E. Bidwill's (Rototawai, Featherston) clip, which seems to dispel any such idea. From 6000 sheep only, including the ewe flock and hoggets, , 101b. 2oz. not pe? sheep 'was 'shorn.. 'These sheep had barely 12 months' growth. Shearing was finished on October 19, so that the wool was very light in grease, having had vory little warm weather to bring .the yolk up in the-wool.- The previous clip realised 9d. por lb, in London, including that left the shed, locks, stained pieces, etc.
