SUPREME COURT.

IN CHAMBERS. A sitting in Chambers was held by Mr. Justice Coopor on Saturday morning. Probato of the wills of the following deceased persons was grantedlsaac Sarjennt, farmer, Wellington; James Edwards, builder, Wellington; William Burns, miner, Nelson; Sarah Sturman, married woman, Kaitoko; Frederick Ebenezer Cook, settler, Auckland; Jano Kinniburgh, widow, Wellington. Letters of administration were granted in tho estates of the following deceased persons:—Editlr Eaglo, married woman, iCarori; Thomas Hall, farmer, Pukekura; and John Chalmers, jun., farmer, Woodville. The question of the amount of remuneration to be allowed the trustees of the will of the late Thomas M'Monamen, sheep farmer, Wellington, came up for consideration. Tho registrar reported that the sum of £307 18sl 7d. be allowed. There being no objection,' his Honour mndo an order in terms of tho report. Mr. Brown appeared on bchalf ; of the trustees, Messrs. Brown and Dean and Mr. S. - Wheeler; and Mr.. Chapman, K.C. (with him Mr. Dunn) for several of the beneficaries. PARA PARA IRON DEPOSITS. CLAIM OF £49,500.. The next matter dealt with was an application for security of costs in connection with an action which J. H. Witheford, ex-M.P., is bringing against the Public Trustee as executor of the estate of the lato Hon.' A. J. Cadtnan and others for £49,500 damages for'alleged breach of contract with respect to tho Para, Para iron deposits. The ground of tho application was that plaintiff is now a resident of the Dominion. After hearing argument, his Honour adjourned tho matter until 'November 28 to enable an affidavit to bo filed on behalf of plaintiff showing that he intended to return to- tho Dominion. Mr. Treadwell appeared in support of tho motion and Mr.< Levi to oppose.
