INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS.

Mr. F. de J. Clere presided, at the annual meeting of the Wellington branch of'the ' New Zealand Institute of Architects held last evening. The annual report and bal-ance-sheet were adopted, and the following* ' officers were elected for the ensuing year :— ; President,-Mr.' J. Charlesworth j'vice-presi-dent,' Mr. F. Penty; joint secretary and trea-surer,'-Messrs. • L. B. Coombes and C. A. Lawrence; oouncil, Messrs." Crichton, Bacon, 'Clere', Schwartz, Livesay, and Coombes; delegates to the New' Zealand Institute, Messrs. Clere, Blake, Schwartz, Penty,' and Livesay.
