THE HASTINGS SHOW.
FINAL DETAILS. The altondanco on People's Day (Thursday) at tho Hawke's Bay show'was estimated at 14,700. This is about 200 over the estimate of last year.- .The trains brought in about 3600 peoplo from Napier during tho day, and about 1800 from, other stations. This is a very slight increase over last year's figures. The hotels were more full than has ever been the case before, and many a private sitting-room was slept in. There were 100 motor ears on tho ground- (including .those on sale) valued at £50,000: Tho Horses. Every expert speaks admiringly of the horses which took part in the competitions, and considers the absence of any mishaps speaks well for both horses and riders.
