Mix the flour, raisins, suet nnil salt together, and add enough milk to bind them together. The mixture should be'very stiff. Put it into a wellgreased ptulding basin, and boil for four hours. 6ervo with - custard sauce. ; CUSTARD SAUCE. Half pint', milk. -1 -'egg, 1 teaspoonful cornflour, 1 teaspoonful' sugar, a few drops of essence of -vanilla. I'ut the milk - into a saucepan,' and -bring it* to the boil, Mix the cornflour: with.' : a . little cold - milk, .pour the boiling'milk over it, stirring well. Return to tho saucepan,,, stir until it thickens, and boil for a few,minutes. Beat the egg'with the sugar and essence,' 1 sauce into it, stirring quickly. wßetu'rn' to the fire' to set the egg, but it m'ust 'not boil or it .will curdle.' i^TO-MORROW.' Ingredients.—Half pint , split peas, 1 carrot, 1 onion, l'tjuart stock,- or water, flounders, lib. dried'-apricots', cornflour, 1 X pint milk, 1 egg. breadcrumbs.—The apricots and-pease should both ;be soaked in cold water • over night. •
