: ——'' (BT TKLIGEAPH. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.) New Plymouth, Octobor 14. An informal meeting of shareholders in tho Inglewood Oil Boring and Prospecting Company was held last night for the purpose of considering- the futuro conduct of the company. It is understood that: as a result;of the meeting the directors will .proceed to obtain 'a : geological report on-the-Mokau district. • - The No. 2 Bore of tho Taranaki Petroleum Company continues' practically dry. Yesterday theire was again a considerable flow of gas from ' the well. At noon to-day, whilst a number' of tho directors of the Taranaki Petroloum Company were in tho vicinity of No. ■2 bore , tlicy heard what was ' apparently an explosion, and, on proceeding to tlio well, found that whilst tools wore being lifted after drilling thero had been a, further heavy explosion of gas, oil, mud, and silt being thrown over the top of tho derrick. Shares in.tho Taranaki Company have changed hands .today at ss.
