Tho Palmerston Rifles fired a competition on Wednesday and Saturday last for a trophy presented by Corp. Pratt. Some splendid shooting was made. Sergt. Needham made 34 at 500 yds., and found the bull's-eye for his sighter at 600 yds., thereafter finding the black spot with all his other shots, making his total 69 out of a possible of 70.
