REVENUE FIGURES. TWO MILLIONS INCREASE. THE TARIFF. (BY TEtEOBAPH—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COrTEISHT.) (Rec. Ootobcr 15, 0.3S a.m.) Melbourne, October 14. Tlio Federal Treasurer, Sir William Lyne, delivered tlio Federal Budget to-night. Tko total revenue for the year is £15,015,798, Customs and Excise yielding £11,645,409 and the Post Office £3,297,100. Tho total realised above'the revenue of the preceding year is £2,013,623. Tho Treasurer attributed this largo increase partly to the new tariff and partly to general prosperity. _ . The expenditure for tho year, exclusive of payments to the State Treasurers, was £6,158,893. ' . . v
