THE RAIN AND THE CROPS.

The, continual rain showers in the country districts, followed by bursts of hot sunshine, have brought the crops on so rapidly during the past ten days (writes our Wairarapa correspondent) that agricultnrists are crying "Enough." Oats and barley aro in oar on several farms in the Tuntahi and Te Ore Ore district, and there is a crop of oats in Fernridgo which is already three feet high. Farmers are afraid that if there is much further rain at the present time the crops which have boen growing so' fast will be levelled to.the ground. So far as cereals aro concerned there need be no further ra.iii during the present month.
