COPRA CAKE FOR STUD SHEEP.
Mr. W, B. Allen, the well-known Romney Marsh breeder, Clarcville, is at present feeding his show stud sheep on copra cake. These cukes are circular in' shape, about 20in. in diameter and one inch through. They are made from mashed cocoanut, from which the oil has been extracted, and are said to bo nn excellent fattening food for stock. Before being given to tho stock the cakes have to be crushed, and in Mr. Allen's case (writes our Wairarapa correspondent) the work is being dono by a firm of Carterton flourmillers.
