Westport, October 11. - A private in .the Millerton Rifles named George Brown, a coal miner, while marking in the butts at Millerton, looked up over the mound while shooting was going on', and was shot in tho chin. Ho was brought to Westport by special train, but died on reaching tne hospital to-night. Deceased was a married man with a family of three young children. Just beforo ho was shot ho was cautionod by tho captain of tho company, who was also marking in tho butts, to bo careful about exposing himself.
