' A WANGANUI BLOCK. Certain matters relating to leases connected with the Ruanui Block, Wanganui, were considered at a brief meeting of tho Native: Land Commission According to tho evidence the lands in question, which comprised 9000 acres, were held under lease by Mr. J. Studholme, the term of, the leases having another seven years to run. .Mr. Studholme desired to surrender the lease of a certain subdivision, and obtain a new lease of about 3000 acres, constituting tke homestead block. Evidence was given by Mr Studholme and Mr. A. L. D. Fraser, M.P. The Commissioners (Sir Robert Stout and Mr. Ngata, M.P.) intimated that they \ _uld take time to consider' the matter.
