CO-OPERATIVE FAT AND TALLOW COMPANY'S WORKS DESTROYED. (DI TELEGRAPH —TEESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunodln, October 5. The Co-operative Fat and Tallow Com pa'ny's works, at the eattleyards, the 'principal shareholders in which arc" butchers oi Dunedin City, was destroyed by fire at abmrt 11.30 to-nignt. _ The information to baud..js that the building has been burned to "tin ground, and everything destroyed. Tip building and mtfohinery are set down as beir worth about £1000, whilo there was,-prepare manure on hand to the vaiuo of about £350 There would also bo a quantity of tallow or hand, but the exact amount is not availTho actual loss, therefore, is not ascertainable. The building and plant were insured in the Manchester _ office, but the sum is, not. available. It is stated, however, tliat the coiupatiy will suffer heavy losa.
