BOXING
The Wellington Boxing Association advise that W. F. Elliott, amateur feather-weight champion of New Zealand and Australia for 1007-1303, has decided to join the rants of the professionals. Yesterday afternoon Elliott signed articles for a contest with J. Gosling, of Wellington, to be boxed on November 24, under tho management of tho Wellington lioxing Association. Weights are to bo restricted to 9st. 41b. Expenses are to bo allowed to each man, but warned by past experience tho association has inserted in the articles regarding tho match a stipulation that in the event of either party to the contest showing form that is not satisfactory, tho referee shall have power to declare "no match," and in such event the association may demand a refund of travelling expenses from one or both delinquents, as tho case 'may be, and withhold the prizemoney of cither. It is also provided that ■vhilc tho match is pending neither party to it is to box in any part of the Dominion.
