CHARITY CUP. As tie Diamonds and-Wanderers' scmifmal had to bo abandoned on Saturday week owing to two balls bursting in the second spoil, the Management Committee decided to replay tho match, and on Saturday -the two teams met again at Miramar. Wanderers had choico of goals, and encouraged by numerous supporters, commenced an attack, whiclr was warded off liv W. Roberts for Diamonds. .Fitzgerald, Taylor, liodges, and Ovcrond were absentees from the latter team, their places being filled by juniors. The weathor was more suitable for cricket, and this, combined with fairly long grass, made good football almost, impossible. Before half-timo was called Wanderers were awarded a penalty, which Cornish converted into a goal. The second spell was not long advanced beforoa combined Diamond movement led to Hathaway equalising the score. Both teams workod hard after this, the goalkeepers of either side having to make good clearances. -On one occasion, however, Irvine, the 'Wanderers' custodian, in clearing kicked the hall on to Ileddy, and it rebounded through the Wanderers' goal. No further score took place, tho Diamonds thus winning by two goals to one. Next Saturday Ramblers meet Diamonds in the final match. Y.M.C.A. beat Swifts by 8 goals to 0 in the. final for the fourth grado Charity Cup. Roberts (3). Ilall Kenny (3), Loader and Phillips were the goal-getters, j;
