EX-MAYOR LEAVES £3500 AND TWO HOUSES TO A SERVANT.Mr. Charles, William Jones, of Gwynfryn, Carmarthen, an. ex-mayor of the town, who died on July 15 at the age of .72, leaving a fortuno of' £72,126, bequeathed to his wife "the sum of one shilling." He left;£3soo, a field, two cottages, anil certain furniture to his servant, Elizabeth Owens, in recognition of 25 years' service; £500 to his servant, Martha Owens, and £200 and two houses to his servant, James Davies. Ho left £7000 to provide pensions for ten deserving men over sixty years of age residing in Carmarthenshire, and £2850 for charitable purposes, including a legacy of £1500 to tho Carmarthen Infirmary and £500 for a yearly distribution of broad and coal to poor people, in Carmarthen overy New Year's Day. t Among Mr. Jones's other bequests were £500 to Ca'swallen J. Price, grocer, of Morthyr Tydvilj £100 to William Jones, formerly his. apprentice; £50 to John Jones, tailor; and a field to David Niclmll Evans, a clerk in' the Probate Registry. Tho residue of the personal estate is divided between Richard Bowen Hogg, Mary Anno Allen, Albena L. G. Jones, Sarah Caroline Jones, Edward Bowen Jones, the children of William 'Lewis, and the children of Charles Maddox.
