WEED-INFESTED SEEDS

A Wangamii Press Association telegram states that at a meeting of the 'Wangamii' Agricultural Association, a resolution was passed regretting the action of tho Government in withdrawing the Agricultural and Produce Sale and Importation Bill from the House of Representatives, and urging the members for Wanganui and -West' Coast to] nso their influence to have the Bill again brought before Parliament. Members spoke strongly against so much seed infested with noxious weeds being distributed in tho North Island, and mentioned that one line- of a thousand sacks of oats, infested with Californian thistle, had beon landed in this district, and 1500 in Feilding, the latter from the South Island, containing 45 per cent, of thistle seeds.
