| Ghristchurch, September 30. ■ It is not often that people aro found clamouring for an increase of Government inspectors (says our special Chrictchurch correspondent), but at a meeting of the Canterbury Fruit-growcrD' Association on Tuesday night' several members made a demand for aii increaso in the number of inspectors under tho Orchard and Garden Pests Act. . It was stated that tho district under tho control of Mr. Courtier, orchard inspector,' extending from Kaikoura to the Bluff, was too largo for him to inspect satisfactorily. The appointment of at least three inspectors for tho territory under Mr. Courtier's control, and tho, registration of' all orchards were advocated; -
