CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR.

The Wellington Christian Endeavour Convention was continued at the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall yesterday. A consc-. oration service was hold in the afternoon, the Bow J. Dawson officiating. At 5.30 p.m., a large number of juniors sat down to tea, and did ample justico to the repast. A grand junior demonstration, entitled "The Light of the World,'' was.given last evening, when about a hundred juniors, arrayed in various costumes and representing different countries, occupied the Concert Chamber platform. Between twenty and thirty of the juniors, who had special parts to perform, were attired in fancy costume, and the scene, as observed from the hall, was a most attractive and picturesque one. Eacli ono was presented with a copy of the Bible, "The Light of the World." Special mention is duo to Sir. T. A..8e11, general superintendent, who trained the juniors. Songs, recitations, and clioruscs were given by the combined choir conducted by Sir. J. Dowling. Later in tho evening, the presentation of the Eggers missionary shield and prizes took place. There was also a cash prize of £5 to tho society collecting the most money for tho missions, and the prize was awarded to the Taranalci Street. Methodist Society. The chair was occupied by tho president, the Kev. Macdonald Aspland.
