COALING AT FR-EMANTLE. i' A now system of coaling has just been, introduced at Frenmntle, and from an account just to hand it holds promise of being a decided acquisition to tho coaling facilities at the West Australian port (says the " Commercial News")- It appears that tho coal was.conveyed to the quay, and side of tho s.s. Taroo, which was the vessel used in tho experiment .and in the trucks wore buckets containing about two tons of coal caoh. By the new method tho buckets were smartly drawn out of the trucks and promptly emptied into the steamer, and the work proceeded ,at such /a- rate- that in five and a half hours 177 tons'of coal had been taken on board., Hitherto only 15. tons of coal could be. handled, oil the quay- in an hpnr, but.'.it is-.anticipated,..that although ;by, tho new . method 30/.t6us was, shipped in 'tliajt tihio by ; the Paroo. it will soon be possible to iavo' 40 tons handled in th? hour.
