Council to ' consolidate all-tho societies ,'iri New Zealand into four provincial unions/' the Rangitiki' and Manawatu • Sub-* union was-affiliated, thus adding to the central union eleven • senior and-' seven' junior' societies, with 554 members. • The provincial roll'number now totalled 68 societies,-. with 2399 members, 'as "against. 54 societies' with' 1902- members, for tho preceding year. Of the>6B'societies, 36 wero senior organisations, with' 737 active.-members,. 144 associate' mem-" bers, and 298 honorary members ; 2 were intermediate, with 34 active, 21 associate, and 17 honorary members; and ,30 -,-were junior, with 536 active, and 612 associate members. ■During the year the sum of £184 Us.' 10d. passed through , the books of the various societies as 'contributions to missions. The, prizes of £4-and £2, - given -by an anonymous donor for presentation for the highest collection per member for missions wero won by the Taranaki Street Methodist Church and the Church of the .Nativity, (Blenheim). respectively, while .tbe.Missionary Shield, presented b'y.
