A deputation of dairy farmers from the Otaki district was introduced 'to the Hon. R. M'Nab (Minister for Agriculture) by Mr. W, H. Field, M.P., yesterday. Tho deputation consistod'of Messrs. Fowler and Wmgo, of Manakau, Messrs. Judd and ■ Griffiths,, of Otaki, and Mr. Yardley, of To Horo. Their object was to protest against tho milk from tho Weraroa Experimental Farm being sold to the Fresh Food and Ice Company, iucompotition with the dairy farmers of tho district. They stated that the reputation of. the "State farih and the facilities it had for creating, by; means of the expenditure of public money, tho most favourable conditions for milk production, caused its product to.bo preferred, and tho privato producers were, therefore, being compelled to sell their milk less remuneratively to the creameries. The Minister said he had to sell tho. produco of the farm as of other institutions of the Department to the best possible advantage, but ho recognised that the case put forward by tho deputation deserved consideration; and ho would go carefully into tho mattor. Tho deputation also raised pie question of tho breeding of tho best strains of milk-producing cows at the Weraroa Experimental Farm. Mr. M'Nab replied that this subject was already receiving consideration. Sond the documents of your importations to Messrs. J. J.
