Encounter, which arrived at tho I Bluff at 9 a.m., reported that Horace Hub-1 bard, 20 years of ago, first-class stoker, a nativo of England, was accidentally killed by a falling rock whilst climbing hills at Milford Sound on Sunday last. No inquest will bo held. ■ FATAL TRAMCAR COLLISION. ! Duni'jln, September 29. As the result 'of. a tramcar colliding last night in Cargill Road with a gig driven by George Magorian, of Leo Stream, ho sustained a fracture of tho skull and died this morning. A runaway horse owned by John Whitehead, baker, 97 Aro Street, bolted out of his yard and ran down Aro Street at 11.30 a.m. yesterday, and collided with Stent and Co.'s broker's cart, driveu by William Cheshire. Cheshire :had his niece Alico Rabbit, aged 4 years, with him on the cart. The brewer's cart was capsized, and Cheshire and. his niece were thrown out on to the street. The girl had her left arm fractured and received a severe, scalp wound. Cheshire was severely shaken. Dr. Clay attended to the little girl, and ordered her removol to the hospital. .Cheshire and his niece reside at Quiiin Street.. Whilst Mrs. Kate M'Ginity, residing at 11 Forester's Lane, was crossing Revans Street at 3 p.m. yesterday to got on tho other sido of a tramcar she collided with tho shaft of a two-wheeled vohiclo driven by Bernard Meyer, of Kilbiriiie. Mrs. M'Ginity was knocked down and one wheel went over her neck. She was attended to by Dr. Paterson and removed to tho hospital.
