Mr. Haskell has resigned the treasurership of the Democratic National Committee and tho Governorship of Oklahoma, but has denied that his resignation amounts to an admission that President Roosevelt's and Mr. Hearst's accusations—that he was a tool of tho Standard.Oil Trust—were correct.

Bryan has written tc President Roosevelt denouncing his paitisan use of tho President's office in order to gain a party advantage and to advance, the interests of his personal friends and Ir* political protoge. Mr. Bryan declares that no word nor act of his ' can justify President' Roosorelt's partisan accusations.
