Dunedln, September 28, At the inquest on the Ixxly of Thomai Corr, agjed 24 years, who died as the result of injuries sustained in' consequence of an explosion on the Moana at Port Chalmers on September 1, opened to-day. No evidence was given as to how the explosion occurred, but statements wore.made to the effect that a tin containing a gallon or a gallon and a half of benzino was in the storeroom at tho time. Tho tin was labelled, "Do not handle, benzino, dangerous." There were two small holes in the top of the tin. Tho medical evidence showed that Corr's death was duo to soptio absorption following burns and cellulitis. • The inquest adjourned for a week to 6ccuro the evidence of N'icol, who is still suffering from injuries .received at tho timo of tho explosion.
