AMERICAN CRUISER FLEET.
TOUR IN THE PACIFIC. (DT TII|KQRA|"B—JTEE6S ASSOCIATION.) ' : ' Auckland, September 28. An American oruiser squadron, numbering seven armoured cruisers and as iriany torpedo bpat-dostroyers, left San Franqisqo on August 2/5 for Honolulu. When tho land was well bphind, the cruisers took the torpedo boats in tow at tho end of toil-inch hawsers and five-inch steel cables. In this position they will remain, with the oxcoption of wlion entering arid leaving ' Honolulu and PagoPPgo, until the cruise of -thousands of miles ia ended. The fleet will stay a week at Honolulu, a woo]c at Pagopagq, find return to Honojuju on Ootobor 7, and leave the same day for San . Diego. Samoan papers state arrangements have bpen made for entertainments in connection with tho visit to' Apia of two armoured cruisers and two torpedo boat-destroyers.
