WHAT IS THE MOTIVE? AN AIMING AT INDEPENDENCE. DIPLOMATIC OPINION. [bt lEtECßirn—ruEss association—copirksht.) London, September 25. ' The alleged slighting by the Porte of M. Gueshoff, Bulgarian Agent, by not issuing an invitation to him as to tho regular diplomatists, and the action of Bulgaria in seizing tho Bulgarian section of tho Orient Hailway, and claiming a proportion of the profits hitherto paid to Turkey, are much discussed in diplomatic circles. Diplomatic opinion universally condemns Bulgaria, both on tho precedence and on tho railway questions. Tho prevailing impression is that Bulgaria is seeking a pretest to declare her independence. TURKEY APPEALS TO THE P.OWERS. BULGARIA AS A BUYER. (Rec. September 27, 4.15 p.m.) Lopdon, September 26. Tho Porto has appealed to the Powers to compel Bulgaria to restore tho railway. Bulgaria proposes to purchase tho Bulgarian section of tho line.
