The "Troubadours" 'number eight vocalists;: six gentlemen and two ladies, amongst them being two late, members of the famous London Meister:Glee Singers. Tho fact that; they "are under tho' direction of Mr. Edward Brauscombe is sufficient hallmark, that their performances-will be both artistic and refined, and .well worthy of patronage. Tho. " Scarlet .Troubadours." -have been performing to crowded and delighted audiences in Australia,' in consequence of-, which their; visits to some of the larger cities have had. to be prolonged. The title'adopted by these, vocalists (which refers ;to • tho costumes •in which they at fir3t introduce themselves) is somewhat-misleading, - .■ and might perhaps; load - patrons to suppose that their perform- ; ances. -were '-ofj the "vaudeville" type,; whereas -such is- not tho case. The class of entertainment ..they.-give, although. novel to this part of tho world,-is of a very popular and fashionable. character in England, anil consists.,of. .musical.,numbers both solo and 'part-singing "given in cpstume, in many, cases grouped together to constitute short' scenos, into which ..i,s . introduced clever witticisms and smart patter.
