SUITABILITY OF THE NEY/ SCHOOL ■' SITE. ■. The monthly meeting of the Technical Education Board was held yesterday. There wero present: Mr. J. P. Luke (in the chair) and Messrs. T.Ballinger and D. Robertson. The financial statement showed that after payment of salaries and general . accounts' a credit'balance of £95 13s. 4d. remained. ; The chairman reported that lie. had little fresh to report with reference to the question of site for tho new school. By authority of the City Council and the ooard, the city solicitor had prepared a Bill giving the council power to resume the present site and in exchange to hand over a portion of the Town Belt at the eiid of Wallace Street to the board. Mr. J. G. W. Aitken, M.P., Imd. pointed out that tho season was so far advanced that it would now bo impossible to introduce tho Bill as a separate measure. Ho had suggested that it should be attached to a washing-up. Bill. Sir Joseph Ward had, however, stated that he did not. think there would bo such a Bill this year.Sinco bo had been interviewed it. had been stated that there now was a probability one might ..be introduced.. It was ..still hoped ...that .the. Bill would be put through this session. On the question ot tho locality of the proposed site there had been little adverse comment, but some considered tho property unsuitable, lie might mention'' that.
