The Prime' Minister, Mr. Asquith, assured Mr. Shortt, Liberal candidate for Newcastle, that the Government regard unemployment as an urgent question. Mr. Asquith stated that tho -Government would submit *to Parliament at an early date practical legislativo proposals dealing with the problem.
