The St. Petersburg correspondent of "Tho Times," speaking of the outbreak of cholera, contrasts the ludicrous sanitary arrangements in existence in St. Petersburg with its splendidly equipped hospitals. A-strike'-of grayediggers has added to the horror of' tho cholera visitation. ! "It would be' practically impossible," declares the "Daily Mail," "for any Russian immigrant ;with, oholera symptoms to land at British ports,/ All immigrant ships are rigidly examined by the special medical officer of health under tho Aliens Act."
