LADIES' TOURNAMENT. (BI TELEGRAPH—I'IIESS ASSOCIATION.) Napier, September 19. The Napier Ladies' Golf Club's tournament concludcd at tlio Waiohiki links to-day in delightful weather. Tlio final of tlio ladies' championship was played over a courso of eighteen .holes bctweon Miss Brathwaito and Miss Beatson, two Hastings ladies. Miss Brathwaito, playing excellent golf, asserted herself from the start, but Miss Beatson played a fine game. Eventually Miss Brathwaito ,won by 5 up and 4 to play. . The ladies final handicap, ono round, was won by Mrs. Kennedy (Napier) 3 up on bogey. WELLINGTON COMPETITION. There was a rccord entry for the Wellington Golf Club's competition for tlio captain's prize. Mr. W. B. Laces was the victor, 2 up on bogey, handicap 4. Tlio runner-up was Mr. J. B. M'Ewan, 1 up on bogey, handicap 2.
