"Mix well together 1 cup of raisins, J cup of dropped' peel, 1. beaten egg (milk may be used instead), l cujv of sugar. juice and grated rind of-a lemon. Roll some pastry and cut it into rounds the size of the patty pans. Pull the rounds'of pastry that are to be placed on. the 'patty'pans 'until'they arc thinner• in the .middle, then put a little Banbury mixture on "each. Next cover each with pastry as'in mince pies., Be careful to moisten the edge of the pastry where a join is. necessary.' Bake these quickly until they - are brown underneath. Dust them witH sugar and serve either hot or oold, \ .
