CARTERTON HORSE PARADE.

The annual horse parade of the Wairsrapa P. and A. Society was held on Saturday at Carterton (says our correspondent). There ivas a fairly large attendauco of the farming public. Twelvo horses wore paraded, comprising five thoroughbreds, four draughts, two ponies, and one trotter. Tho thoroughbreds were —R. Ross's Chatsworth (imported) and Canada, C. M'Cullough's Conqueror, W. Tully's Saracen, and_ W. Corlctt's Boris. Chatsworth, whoso list is filling well, and Conqueror and Canada received a large amount of attention from breeders It is evident that as show horses the battle, of the giants is between Chatsworth and Conqueror, both of whom are at present unbeaten. Tho draught stallions shown were —Brilliant Boy, Federation, Rantin' Robin, and Saxon. Tho ponies were Young King Colo and Reform, while Boston was the only trotter.
