LADIES' REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. Tho ladies' representative match between Wanganui and a local eleven takes placo on No. 2 ground, Day's Bay, this afternoon, the girls leaving by tho 2.30 boat. Both sides havo good teams entered (as published yesterday) and if the weather is fine, an interesting contest should result. The visitors played at Greytown on Thursday, and wore entertained at a dance in the evening. Thoy 'arrived by tho 11.28 train yesterday morning, and .were billeted with friends. It has been decided that Miss Ida Fleet (Petone) is to play left-half in tho local representatives, in placo of Miss Blair. The visitors will bo entertained at a luncheon at tho Arcadia at 12.-15 to-day. The Wellington representatives aro expected to be present.
At the Church of Christ, Kiddiford Street, to-morrow, Mr. A. I'. Turner will preach on the subject, "Christ Lamenting over Jerusalem." A property of 390 acres, -about two miles from the Waikanao railway station, will bo sold by public auction on Wednesday, October 7, by Messrs. William H. Turnbull and Co., 5 Panama Street. The property is being disposed of under tho direction of the cxecutors of the will of the late Wi Parata, Waipunahau. It is described as excellent and healthy sheep country. Millward and Co., will sell by public auction, in thoir rooms, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on October 1, the wellknown Grango Estate, situated at Westmero, Wanganui, consisting- of 218 acres of richest loam laud, together with fine homestead, containing 15 rooms, splendid orchard, plantation, and garden.
