4- — SVEN HEDIN'S DISCOVERIES. (bi teljSOeafh—peess association—corral-sat.) London, September 17. Dr. Sven tho explorer, who has just reached Simla after a trip through Tibet says he has discovered the continuity of a great mountain chain 2000 miles in length, and stretching from east to west, northwards of tho Brahmaputra Valley. This is tho great Tibetan range referred to by Dr. Sven Hedin in his lotter published on Thursday. It is "cortainly not inferior in length to tho Himalayas, and tho mean height of the passes is greater; only in tho height of the peaks do tho Himalayas retain, of course, tho advantage."
