TROUBLE ON A CRUISER.
<h- - . THE GIBRALTAR. WITH AUSTRALIAN RELIEF CREWS. (BT TJELEQRArH —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COrTRIGHT.) (Rec. September 18, 10.35 p.m.) London, September 18. The report in the "Express" as to disaffection on board a British cruiser, resulting in gun-sights being thrown overboard, refers to tho 'second-class cruiser Gibraltar, 7700 tons, Captain C. H. Morgan. The men, resenting orders for apparently unnecessary duty,- destroyed £500 worth of gun-sights. • When the cruiser, reached Trincomalee, Ceylon, Admiral Sir G. Warrender, Comman-der-in-Chief of the East Indies Squadron, stopped all leave, closed tho cantoen, and prohibited smoking until such time as the culprits are discovered. • The Gibraltar was, at the time of the dis. turbance, carrying relief crews to Australia for the Australasian Squadron. Hor arrival at Albany was notified on September 10, and as the trouble occurred before reaching Ceylon, it is of. fairly ancient date. According to the "Express," a stringent investigation has failed to reveal the culprits., ..
