Viscount Villiers, whose engagement is announced, is tho older son of the Earl of Jersey, and will one day have a great inheritance. Lord Jersey owns about 19,400 acres in Middlesex and Oxfordshire, but much of his vast incomo is drawn from Child's Bank, of which he is the principal proprietor. Middloton Park, his place near Bicestor, is 'in tho heart of a good hunting country; and Osterley, not far from Islewortli, is the scene of the most delightful garden parties of the summer season.
