, GAZETTE ANNOUNCEMENTS. ' Tho following announccmonts appear :in this week's Gazette:— Major Horaco Dorsel Eccles, Third Regiment, Auckland Mounted Rifles, to bo lieut.-colonel; Dr. G. H.' Brown, to be captain in the Now Zealand Medical ■ Corps; Honorary Chaplain-Major W. Shirer, having 'resigned his chaplaincy to tho Wellington Civil Servico ltilles and Wellington Highland Rifles, is attached to tho staff of tho First Wellington lliflo Battalion; Captain J: M. - Forrester, Queen's Rifles, has resigned his command; Lieut.-Coloncl K. M'Kenzie, South Canterbury Infantry Battalion, resigned, -to bo v posted to tho active list (unattached); Major C. T. Tatum, Third Regiment Wellington Mounted Rifles, resigned, to be posted to the active list (unattached) ; Lieutenant J. E. Duignan, R.N.Z.E., to _be transferred 'to the Now Zealand with the rank of lieutenant. Corporal W. E. Powell, R.N.Z.A., has been awarded the Imperial long-sorvico and good-conduct medal, and Sergt.-Major L. Parrant, No. 2 Company N.Z.G.A.V. (Potono Navals), tho Colonial Auxiliary Forces long-servico medal.
