Until 5 .o'clock yesterday afternoon tho House discussed Ministerial replios to questions. At 6 o'clock the Minister for Labour (the Hon. J. A. Millar)' moved the second • reading of the. Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill. Ho mado ,an interesting speech,' which' lasted fifteen minute 3 beyond tho allotted time, tho Hoiiso unanimously. granting the concession. Mr. Massey followed tllo Minister,' and then tho : Prime Minister' spoke,'after which tho debate.becamo general and ;less interesting. At, one time it seemed as if the Minister would bo ablo to reply, but at 12.50 Mr. Davoy moved 'tho adjournment, which -was carried. '■
